From birth, the odds are stacked against Indigenous kids. In Australia, where First Nations people make up less than 5% of the population, Indigenous youth account for 80% of all 10-year-olds behind bars.

I was humbled by the opportunity to edit this six part video series for We Are Warriors, an award-winning social enterprise that puts a spotlight on Indigenous role models and Blak excellence. These artists tell the hard truths of their lived experiences as a way of proving to our younger Aboriginal generation that they are more than enough; that they are excellent — that they are warriors.
